And, while our roots are in ice cream, sorbets and pudding desserts, we've also become a favourite family place for freshly prepared iced specialities and other desserts.

Founded by Julian Tomkins, a traditional Pastry Chef who was classically trained at Le Notre in Paris in the arts of both glacerie and patisserie.
Julian returned to London in 1982 and established La Maison des Sorbets with the aim of producing unsurpassable ice creams, sorbets and pudding desserts for the higher echelons of the London retail market.

He failed in his marketing plan but gained enormous interest from the catering sector and rapidly established a highly successful business, producing not only sorbets but also ice cream, frozen eating desserts and a whole range of patisserie items.

Today Frank Rowe who originally trained under Julian before spending several years working in many of the top kitchens in London and in 2000 returned to La Maison des Sorbets to assume the role of Head Chef with special responsibility for new product development leads La Maison des Sorbets' kitchens.
